Jeff is a managing partner for New York Life and has been with the company since 2001. Within his role, Jeff’s biggest strengths are his team-building skills, accountability, and his ability to create a culture of success while still having fun. His mission, he says, is to run the most esteemed financial services organization in Northern Virginia and their family values, loyalty, trust, and professionalism play a big role in this mission. After successfully running his own practice, Jeff found his true calling in leadership and finds fulfillment in the work he is able to do today. He has recruited, trained, and/or worked with countless insurance agents and financial advisors and is passionate about assisting them and watching them grow in their own successes. In his current practice, Jeff leads by example with the company's culture of respect, expertise, competitiveness, and a sense of pride in what they do.
Jeff graduated from The Johns Hopkins University in 1993 with a degree in political science and then from The American College in 2011 with his CLF designation. Before working with New York Life, Jeff entered the field of financial services as an agent with John Hancock in 1993. During this time he earned the awards of Rookie Agent of the Year as well as Agent of the Year. After some time working in this position, Jeff went on to build a team and expand his practice, earning him another award of Sales Manager of the year.
While at New York Life, Jeff has held a multitude of roles. Having started his career in the Northern Virginia General Office, he says it is nice to finally be home. His roles have included being the Managing Partner in Harrisburg, PA, a Corporate Vice President in the Northeastern Zone, and the Managing Partner in the San Fernando Valley office in Los Angeles.
Jeff is the proud father of one son, Marsden who is a Police Officer in Southern Virginia. When he isn’t working, Jeff loves to golf, cook, coach, and play with his dog, Bella. He is also an ardent follower of the 44 time National Champion Johns Hopkins University Men’s Lacrosse program where he played in 1990-1993.
