Gus E. Mitchell, IV

Long Term Care Consultant

Gus serves as a Long Term Care Consultant for New York Life, bringing over 20 years of industry experience in to this role. Gus earned his BA in Business-Marketing from Lynchburg College. In addition, he has his series 7 and 63 FINRA registrations and life and health licenses.

Prior to joining New York Life, Gus served as Regional Life Consultant for Protective Life as well as Sales Director for Genworth Financial. Gus’s experience also includes serving as Vice President-Investment Management Advisor for Wachovia in Wachovia’s trust and private banking division.

Gus believes in taking a holistic approach in working with clients. Through a multi-step process of determining the specific goals and objectives of each client, Gus develops a customized plan in order to help meet the Long Term Care needs of agents' clients and monitors the plan on an on going basis.

Gus makes his home in Richmond, Virginia with his wife, 2 children and Parker the family dog. Gus enjoys family time, tennis, and reading.
